The road connecting Junction 7 of the M27 to the Hedge End Retail Park and the town beyond. Tollbar Way is a modern, dual-carriageway-style road built to handle the traffic volumes generated by the retail park and the motorway junction. The retail park with its Marks and Spencer, Next and other stores sits alongside the road. The road has no residential frontage and is entirely commercial and transport in character. Traffic is heaviest at weekends and during the Christmas trading season. Tollbar Way is the first road many visitors encounter when arriving at Hedge End from the motorway.
