Berry Theatre Opens

2010

The Berry Theatre opened in 2010, giving Hedge End a purpose-built arts and community venue for the first time. The theatre was developed by Eastleigh Borough Council as part of a broader investment in community facilities for the town. With a 200-seat auditorium, the theatre hosts professional touring productions, amateur performances, cinema screenings, comedy nights, community events and classes. The Berry Theatre represented a shift from purely functional infrastructure to cultural provision, acknowledging that a town of Hedge End's size needed a venue for performance, entertainment and community gathering.
